Who Is Melchizedek?

The patriarch Abram (Abraham) met with the king of Salem, Melchizedek, after a victorious battle. Little is known about this mysterious figure, and why Abram paid him homage. Yet, Jesus' legitimacy as our Great High Priest finds its validity in His designation as "high priest in the order of Melchizedek" (Hebrews 5:10).
