What Do I Lack?

Believers must let go of anything that keeps them from following Christ completely.

The Economy of God

The interaction with Jesus must have been excruciatingly frustrating for the rich young man in Matthew 19:16-30. This young man very practically and proactively sought to secure his eternal future and asked a direct question: "What good thing must I do to get eternal life?" (v. 16). Jesus' answer turned the young man's cultural assumptions about wealth, its message, and its power upside down. Let's take a closer look at "The Economy of God" in this week's article.
