The "Man" in Genesis 32 Jacob spent the night wrestling with "a man . . . till daybreak" (Genesis 32:24). What was Jacob doing camping out alone all night before meeting his angry brother Esau? We can't get inside Jacob's head as to why he wished to spend that night alone. We can, however, ask our own questions about the unexpected that happened that night.
