Sacred Spaces

Sacred space in our modern context can be described as a space where there has been a holy encounter with God. When we revisit that site, we are reminded of an important moment, a spiritual insight, perhaps an answered prayer. In the ancient world, sacred spaces were more likely to be temples and tabernacles, but they were also anywhere in which someone had a significant encounter with God. This week's article takes a look at the many types of "Sacred Spaces" in the ancient Near East.
