Finding a Context for Romans 5
If you have ever used a study Bible or biblical commentary, you have probably found the outlines helpful for understanding the major themes of the biblical books. The biblical writers, however, did not leave us outlines. Thus, in the book of Romans, we sometimes have difficulty deciding where the breaks in thought come. This is the case with chapter 5. Does it conclude the teachings in chapter 4, or is it the introduction to chapter 6 and beyond? This week's article helps us understand why this matters.
